Installation Engineer |
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications Perform installation of semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites locally and worldwide while ensuring the systems meet specified performance specifications. Activities during installation includes but not limited to setup, alignment, calibration, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of highly complex capital equipment. Understand and troubleshoot problems in software and electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems related to the assigned system. Must successfully complete required and ongoing technical training to acquire a thorough knowledge of company equipment; including installation procedures and the application of diagnostic techniques and practical application of service aids. Prepare field service reports and daily passdowns on Installation progress and non-conformances. Contribute to post-activity Quality feedback initiative and improvement. Execute documented procedures, exercises judgment within defined procedures and recommend changes to existing process and procedures when needed. Represent the company to the customer and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with all installation/upgrade-associatedactivities. Obtain all necessary international travel documents and manage their personal lives to be ready to travel overseas for extended period Manage personal finances to prevent disruption to scheduled activities - even when traveling for extended periods. Minimum Qualifications Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Knowledgeable in electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems Competent with the MS Office suite of applications and have knowledge of computer theory, various operating system software knowledge and networking in a Windows, Unix or Novell environment. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills are required. Ability to work in local or remote locations with domestic and international travel for average 60-70% Fresh graduate with the right demeanor will also be considered. |
Customer Service Engineer |
Job Description Evaluates, analyzes, diagnoses and troubleshoots technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer site. Ensures equipment improves customer production. Repairs of system level problems (which have multiple causes and for which no standard procedures exist) at customer sites. Represents the company to the customer and assume accountability for customer happiness with service. Assures operational quality of system equipment. Coordinates actions with customers to minimize down time. Provides assistance to Installation Engineer in resolving problems. Prepares fields service reports on customer support activity and provide documentation to other supporting functions on re-occurring problems. Build positive relationship with customers and increase customer satisfaction by resolving sophisticated requests and issues. Contribute to the Capturing, Re-use, Collaboration, and Improvement of knowledge using available systems Develops and handles return materials authorization (RMA) processes for ensuring customer returns, exchanges, service and repairs are done with speed and accuracy and all client/customer service delivery issues are resolved. Executes technical critical issues with detailed problem statement and pass-down to work with system engineering technical team in customer site. Estimated travel is 20% once trained in the classroom as part of on-the-job training program. Although, much of the job responsibilities will be performed in the office or at the customer site supporting various projects and initiatives. In addition to problem diagnosis and resolution, other support duties will include characterization and support of customer demos and field projects. |
Applications Engineer |
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications 1.Responsible for providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA eBeam inspection products in customer fabrication facilities. Makes presentations on all aspects of products. 2.Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs. Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications. 3. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of various factors. 4. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems. 5. Frequent communication with different groups including services dept., product manager, sales, division, management and customers for projects and activities Minimum Qualifications 1. MS degree, semiconductor process knowledge is a plus 2. Good commend of English and communication skill 3. Good presentation and report writing skill 4. Must be willing to work in semiconductor clean room environment 5. Able to communicate with customers especially in difficult situations |
